After some much needed snowfall mid-January, I was itching to get back on the trail in my snowshoes. Luckily, I didn't have to go far, as there is a great snowmobile trail near where I live in Tully, NY. The only challenge was the initial climb up, up, up, but once I hit the treeline I was greeted with a lovely trek through the woods. I was also afforded some great views of the valley and Song Mountain ski area. A great little trip out!
The trail as noted by the snowmobile club.
"There's snow in them thar hills!"
This tree missed the memo about apple picking season.
Looking back - Song Mountain and Song Lake.
Whiteout painted tree limbs.
Nice mix of old and new growth.
Tranquil trail.
Happy Hiking!
