Thanksgiving 2014

Post date: Nov 29, 2014 1:43:06 AM

We made every effort to make the best of Thanksgiving 2014 following storm Cato, which knocked power out to almost a half million people across the East Coast. However, after two days without running water and modern conveniences in New Hampshire we abandoned our plans and headed back home to NY. I did grab a few shots the day after storm and have posted them below. Very pretty scenery, despite the mayhem caused by the storm.

Local horse field, blanketed in fresh snow.

My wife walking down a rural dirt road under a canopy of white.

Much of the surrounding land was part of this conservation plan.

Hopkinton Town Hall.

St. Andrew's Church, Hopkinton, NH. Founded 1803.

First Congregational Church, Hopkinton, NH.

Scottish Highland cattle weathering the after effects of the storm.

Frozen Drew Lake in black and white.

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday with safe travels and running water! :-)
