During the last week in September, I took a midweek trip to Sawyer Mountain for a hike and some fall foliage photography. Even though it was a very easy and quick hike, the 2 outlook views from near the summit were quite good. A great little hike for beginners or as a warm up! On the way home, I made several stops along the way to document more foliage. Here are my shots from the whole trip... Enjoy!
First lookout - facing East.
Second lookout - facing West.
"Big Red" along the trail.
Backlit and striped - along the trail.
Name that fungus! (I have no idea.)
Near peak colors along the roadway.
Have a sit and watch the leaves change at Raquette Lake.
The dam at Forestport - not much change in the area, yet.
Stay tuned for more!
