Here is a collection of bird shots that I took recently at our local Nature Center, just to the side of their very popular winter bird feeders. There was a constant flow of activity with lots of flitting!
Downy Woodpecker - Taken out on a snowshoe trail.
Red-crowned Woodpecker
Northern Cardinal (F)
White-throated Sparrow
Northern Cardinal (M)
Dark-eyed Junko
White-breasted Nuthatch
Downy Woodpecker - Foraging near the bird feeders at the Nature Center.
The Nature Center has a great "Spot 100" challenge going on, where people can try to spot and log over 100 species of birds which the staff tells me is entirely possible!
Happy Spotting!
