To get out and test a new lens I had rented, I figured a good place would be nearby Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge. The collection of birds did not disappoint, even after a storm rolled through. Here are some of the new birds (mostly ducks) that I was able to capture. (The verdict is still out on the lens.) Please enjoy!

American Coot.

Soaring Gull.

Northern Shoveler.

Bufflehead Duck.

Mother Goose!

Green Winged Teal.

Juvenile Bald Eagle.

Great Blue Heron, hunting.
